Program phases

Phase 1: Application and Selection Process

Alumni of HP programs will submit their applications that will be rigorously reviewed against 5 themes of HP Futures: Ending learning poverty, Knowledge Economy Skills, Edtech for teachers, Education reform and Tomorrow's schools. Successful projects must align to one or two themes. Applicants should also evidence their innovative impact and the potential of their project to be scaled up.

Phase 2: Enrolment and initial funding

Once successfully enrolled on the program, HP EdTech Incubator participants will receive initial financial support to fund their project. HP EdTech Incubator will provide each participant with a stipend of up to $5,000 to support their HP EdTech Incubator 9-month program journey and to bring their start-up project to life.

Phase 3: Program content, support and mentorship

Throughout the HP EdTech Incubator program, participants enhance their skills in entrepreneurship and business development. They gain insights into innovation and product scaling through structured training and recommended HP LIFE content. Participants receive dedicated bi-weekly online workshops and are mentored by HP Cambridge EdTech Fellows and World Education Medal finalists. Additionally, they join a collaborative community of innovative educators.

Phase 4: Go-to-market and demo day

The program concludes with a demonstration day where participants showcase their projects to a distinguished panel of experts. In this final phase, participants finalize their scaling strategies and present their projects, receiving constructive feedback from the panel.

This stage includes opportunities for networking with industry leaders, investors, and other key stakeholders. Participants engage in business development practice sessions to refine their pitches and prepare for future engagements. Additionally, they receive tailored support to help bring their unique ideas to market successfully.

Awards

Upon successful completion of all four phases of the program, a final formal evaluation will be conducted to assess the impact and scalability of the projects. This evaluation will involve a thorough review by a panel of experts. The program culminates in a showcase event where participants present their projects. The top projects will be awarded based on innovation, effectiveness, and potential for scalability.
